The annual Battle of te Bands is only three weeks away. Charlie's band, The Rox, are practicing every day and hope to become Liverpool's next music sensation. But it isn't easy. Their rival band, The Pools, won first place in last year's Battle and they will do everything they can to win again this year.
And then, disaster strikes The Box when their bass player decides to leave the band. Charlie thinks they are finished. But this is Liverpool, the World Capital of Pop and home of the Beatles, the rock and roll phenomenon and best-selling band in history. With the help of Mick, rocker, biker and owner of Liverpool's best music shop, Charlie takes a closer look at golden age of rock and roll. He rediscovers some of the legendary sites of liverpool and learns some interesting facts about the lives of pop music's greatest artists.
